Dinner Parties

  • Mood:
  • Artsy:

I always had clean, glass Snapple bottles in my fridge filled with water.  My friends loved coming over, grabbing a cold, refreshing bottle and then settling in for a night of bong rips and conversation.  It didn't take long for us to develop a routine on the weekends once I got settled in my new loft.

My friend Joseph would score the weed early so we didn't have to worry.  My BFF Raela and I would take care of the food and beverages, usually chicken or turkey, rice, a veggie and rolls.  Another friend Adam would just come by for the company and the food.  He made us all laugh so he definately brought something.

We would start with the gravity bong.  The trusty plastic gallon cut on the bottom with a homemade bowl built on the top.  A couple of hits and you would be lucky not to get the shakes and fall on your ass.  We would then ajourn to the living room and chat for a bit until the food was ready.  Sometimes we would zone out on a movie if there weren't many of us or we were too tired to converse.

Of course, dinner always tasted so good.  We would all usually go back for seconds and stuff ourselves.  We would have to smoke a bowl when we were done just to digest properly.  We would  sit on the couch and smoke and moan that our bellies were too full. Sometimes we would bust out some of my old board games like Pac Man or Monopoly and would engage in a smokefest.  We developed our own rules that included smoking for various reasons throughout the game.  It was a blast!

Eventually, one by one my friends would leave, I would clean up, smoke another bowl and then pass out.  These were really good times.  Some of the best times.  I had no real commitments, just a job and school but no kids, no significant other.  We were just chillin' and enjoying the good company.
